Garowe, 30 March 2026 – Gaashaan Legal And Consultancy Services in line with its role in promoting legal awareness, strengthening institutional accountability, and supporting good governance in workplaces, conducted a legal training for the staff of SOMGAS Garowe Branch. The two-days training program was officially concluded today in Garowe.
The training focused on labour laws, employee ethics, and SOMGAS’s new workplace code of conduct policy, with the aim of equipping staff with a deeper understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and the ethical standards expected of them in carrying out their daily duties.
The objective of the training was to strengthen employees’ knowledge of workplace systems and the ethical values upon which the company is built, particularly following the review and modernization of SOMGAS’s previous employee code of ethics policy. The sessions also highlighted the importance of compliance with workplace procedures, safeguarding the reputation of SOMGAS, protecting employee rights, and promoting good conduct in dealing with customers, partners, and fellow staff members.
The training benefited 30 employees drawn from different departments of SOMGAS Garowe, including both newly recruited and long-serving staff members.
The closing ceremony for the training, which took place from 29–30 March 2026, was jointly officiated by the SOMGAS Nugaal Regional Manager, Mr. Abdullahi Ahmed Yusuf, and the General Manager of Gaashaan Legal And Consultancy Services , Avv. Hon. Ahmed Guulwade. In their closing remarks, they emphasized to participants the importance of companies having employees who understand labour laws, professional ethics, and their responsibility in protecting service quality and the reputation of the businesses they serve.
Throughout the training, participants received practical knowledge and professional development on labour laws, employee rights, workplace duties, workplace ethics, and the internal policies of the company they work for. Participants also warmly welcomed the training and expressed the need for similar programs to be continued on a regular basis.
